Making a difference in baldwin County
Alice Wildes Villadsen is a native Alabamian who returned to her home state following her career in community college education. She served for seven years as President of Brookhaven College in Dallas, Texas. With her BS, MA, and Ph.D from The University of Alabama, she and husband Wayne have lived and worked in Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, and Texas. They now reside in Gulf Shores, near her daughter Jacque Helms, son Michael Villadsen, and her three grandchildren.
Alice joined Impact in 2016, and came on the Board in 2018. She especially enjoys the breadth of friends she develops through Impact and her work with Focus Groups.
Alice is also a Meals on Wheels volunteer and Church Council Chair, Sunday School teacher and joyful alto in the St. Andrew by the Sea choir. She really likes to dance, play bridge, work in her roses, and spend quality time with many friends she has made in the Peninsula community.
