Calling All Nonprofits
Calling All Nonprofits
Impact 100 awards grants to area nonprofit organizations whose grant projects serve Baldwin County. Grants are funded by pooling the $1,000 donations of our members, a method of fundraising called collective giving. Our goal is to reach 500 members each year, enabling us to give a $100,000 grant to area nonprofits in each of the five focus areas:
- Arts, Culture, & Recreation: Initiatives that cultivate, develop, and enhance the cultural, artistic and recreational climate of Baldwin County.
- Education: Initiatives that further the educational process or improve access to education for children and/or adults in the Baldwin County area.
- Environment & Preservation: Initiatives that will restore, preserve, revitalize or enhance the surroundings of the Baldwin County Area.
- Family: Initiatives that strengthen and enhance the lives of children and families living in the Baldwin County area.
- Health & Wellness: Initiatives that improve the mental and/or physical well being of people living in the Baldwin County area.
Interested applicant organizations are invited to attend a grant workshop in the spring, submit a letter of intent, and submit a grant application in the early summer.
Our members volunteer to serve on committees to evaluate the grant applications and select finalists from each focus area.
Representatives from each of the finalist organizations make a short presentation at the Annual Grant Awards Meeting in the fall.
Each Impact 100 member votes at the Annual Grant Awards, by proxy or absentee ballot to determine the grant recipients.
After being selected to receive a grant, the organization signs a contract and agrees to submit requests for disbursements with appropriate documentation and reporting over a period of up to 2 years, beginning in December of the year the grant was awarded.
